A fine 18th-century Georgian oak bureau desk, beautifully handcrafted from solid oak with a rich, warm patina developed over centuries. This elegant antique showcases classic Georgian proportions and traditional joinery throughout.
The slant-front opens to reveal a superbly fitted interior with pigeonholes, small drawers, and a central cupboard door — all retaining their original charm and functionality. Below are four graduated drawers with solid brass swan-neck handlesand original escutcheons, offering generous storage.
Standing on bracket feet, the piece has wonderful colour and grain, enhanced by a gentle restoration and wax finish. A timeless, characterful bureau that reflects the quality and craftsmanship of the Georgian period.
