A superb and highly decorative antique George III style slim tallboy chest of drawers, crafted in beautifully figured burr walnut and presented in two sections. This elegant piece combines practical storage with refined period styling, making it ideal for both traditional and contemporary interiors.
The upper section features two short drawers above three long graduated drawers, framed by finely carved blind fretwork decoration to the cornice and canted corners. The lower section incorporates a useful brushing slide above three further long drawers, all fitted with attractive brass drop handles and decorative escutcheons. The chest stands on shaped bracket feet, completing its classic Georgian-inspired silhouette.
The rich burr walnut veneers display wonderful figuring, colour variation and natural grain patterns throughout, creating a warm and characterful appearance that only genuine antique furniture can offer. Its slim proportions make it particularly useful where space is limited, whilst still providing an impressive amount of storage.
