A charming 17th Century style solid oak sideboard / dresser base, beautifully finished in a warm golden oak brown tone with a lovely rich character throughout. This piece has a wonderful traditional country house feel, featuring panelled cupboard doors, four drawers with elegant brass swan-neck handles, and decorative bracket feet.
The oak has developed a beautiful aged patina over the years, giving the cabinet plenty of authentic age character and warmth. The proportions are particularly attractive — compact enough for smaller homes, flats, cottages or apartments, yet still offering very practical storage space.
The interior is fitted with shelving behind the cupboards, making it ideal for everyday use as a sideboard, hallway cabinet, TV unit, or dining room storage piece. Its smaller scale makes it far more versatile than many large antique dressers, while still retaining a strong period presence.
