Art Deco Tallboy / Gentleman’s Wardrobe – c. 1930s–1950s (Simpson’s of Blackburn & Halifax)

A refined Art Deco tallboy wardrobe, walnut veneered, showcasing a beautiful bookmatched burr walnut front panel. The striking symmetrical grain pattern immediately draws the eye, giving the piece a warm and luxurious character. It stands on a shaped plinth base, reflecting the elegant, streamlined style of the 1930s–1950s period.

Inside, the single door opens to reveal four smooth-running drawers and a spacious upper storage shelf, offering excellent practical organisation for clothing or accessories. The craftsmanship is solid and thoughtfully designed, ensuring both durability and ease of use.

The piece has been professionally cleaned, lightly restored, and wax-finished in our workshop to enhance the depth and natural beauty of the walnut veneer. The original maker’s badge — Simpson’s of Blackburn & Halifax — remains intact on the inside of the door, confirming its heritage and quality.
